The Economics for Environment Forum is a non-aligned, informal group of individuals with an interest in Economics and Environment in southern africa mandated during a meeting held on 4 June 1999 to discuss the future of Economics and Environment. Open debate and critical thinking regarding the relationship between and usefulness of economics and the environment is encouraged. Builders Without Borders
is an international network of ecological builders who advocate the use of straw, earth and other local, affordable materials in construction. We believe that the solution to homelessness is not merely housing, but communities trained to provide housing for themselves.

ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability is an international association of local governments and national and regional local government organizations that have made a commitment to sustainable development. More than 475 cities, towns, counties, and their associations worldwide comprise ICLEI's growing membership. They provide technical consulting, training, and information services to build capacity, share knowledge, and support local government in the implementation of sustainable development at the local level.
They also offer an ICLEI e-News online bulletin published three times a year. The bulletin offers brief summaries on ICLEI and member activities, achievements, as well as upcoming conference and workshop information. To subscribe, contact publications@iclei.org
