CONSTRUCTION of the Mangaung Intermodal Public Transport Facility as the biggest inner city regeneration project the city of Mangaung has ever undertaken, is progressing on schedule and on Monday, 30 March 2009 the site was handed over to the contractors for the second phase of the project.

SERVICE DELIVERY
The Free State provincial government will implement a number of social programmes aimed at assisting the poor, says Premier Beatrice Marshoff. These include the implementation of the no-fees schools policy and the provision of free basic services to qualifying households.

Community members within the Mangaung Local Municipality are to be empowered through a learnership on emerging contractors, in line with the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).
