The South African Cities Network traverses the country, gathering data and conducting research for its nine member cities and other partners. It also works closely with cities in the region and alliances across the globe.

We consider that regional development is vital to the work we do. For this reason we also have close ties with a vast network of cities throughout the Southern African Development Community.

THERE are 15 member states in SADC: Angola; Botswana; Democratic Republic of Congo; Lesotho; Madagascar; Malawi; Mauritius; Mozambique; Namibia; Seychelles; South Africa; Swaziland; Tanzania; Zambia; and Zimbabwe.

We work with our neighbouring cities within these member states to enhance our knowledge and share experiences and expertise.

It is crucial that information sharing is relevant and current.
