Central Special Rating Area (SRA)
The Central Special Rating Area (SRA) is a NPO in Port Elizabeth’s Central area involved in the upliftment of the area by improving security, waste, infrastructure and tourism. A Special Rating Area (SRA) is a specific geographic area within which property owners agree to pay for supplementary services. The Central community prompted by the ongoing decline of the area, has determined that the creation of an SRA will allow residents to take direct responsibility for the upliftment of the area. The SRA provides the vehicle through which service delivery can be improved leading to the area being safer and more sought after for both businesses and residents.
